Our Story
MoneySmart NextGen Hub was founded in 2022 out of a simple but powerful belief: better decisions create better futures. Our founder and Lead Consultant, Kwaku Ofori, has spent more than 18 years working with businesses, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, non-traditional lenders, development organizations and young people across Ghana and the United States. Throughout that journey, he observed a common challenge — many businesses struggle to access the knowledge, capital and systems needed to grow sustainably, while many young people and families are never taught the money skills required to navigate life with confidence.
Driven by a passion for financial empowerment, entrepreneurship and community development, MoneySmart NextGen Hub was created to bridge these gaps. We help businesses, particularly SMEs, strengthen their capacity, manage risk and unlock growth opportunities. We support financial institutions and non-traditional lenders through practical advisory services, capacity building and strategic guidance. At the same time, we equip young people and families with the financial knowledge, entrepreneurial mindset and smart money skills needed to make informed decisions and build brighter futures.
Today, MoneySmart NextGen Hub brings together consulting, capacity building and financial education under one roof. Our mission is to empower individuals, families, businesses and communities with the knowledge, tools and confidence to make smarter financial, business, educational and career decisions, creating lasting impact for generations to come.

Kwaku Ofori
CA, ACMA, CGMA, MBA, B.Com
Kwaku Ofori is the Lead Consultant and CEO of MoneySmart NextGen Hub. A Development Finance Expert, he brings over 18 years of experience in finance, risk management, SME finance and development finance across Ghana and the United States.
Throughout his career, he has worked with financial institutions, businesses, investors, nonprofits and development organizations to strengthen financial performance, manage risk and expand access to finance. His experience includes designing and implementing enterprise risk management frameworks, credit risk strategies, lending policies and standard operating procedures, SME and agricultural lending systems, and new credit products targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises. He has also supported venture capital, private equity and impact investment firms exploring opportunities in Ghana through investment risk assessments, underwriting frameworks, portfolio risk management and operational readiness support. In addition, he has provided technical assistance, business advisory and capacity-building support to SMEs across multiple sectors, helping entrepreneurs strengthen operations, improve access to finance and position their businesses for sustainable growth.
Kwaku is passionate about financial education and entrepreneurship development. He has trained and mentored hundreds of young people, students and aspiring entrepreneurs in financial literacy, money management, entrepreneurship and business development.
Kwaku holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, and a STEM-designated MBA in Quantitative Finance and Entrepreneurship from Babson College, Massachusetts, USA, widely recognized as the leading institution for entrepreneurship education in the United States.
He is a Chartered Accountant (Ghana) and Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA, CGMA) and has earned specialized certifications in microfinance and rural finance from leading institutions in Germany, India and the World Bank. Combined with more than two decades of professional experience across Ghana and the United States, these qualifications underpin his expertise in finance, risk management, SME and agricultural finance, entrepreneurship and development finance.
